The International Human Rights Commission Cabo Verde paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Praia.

The objective is to present the International Human Rights Commission Cabo Verde as well as the mission of the commission here in Cabo Verde.
The meeting was a fruitful one as the commission was able to understand the perspective of the Council especially in regards to the demolition of illegal constructions in Alta da Gloria community and other regions like Jamaica. The affected folks are being offered temporary apartments as alternatives.
International Human Rights Commission would be working in this regard to ensure a better Cabo Verde where each citizen and foreigner residing would be comfortable.
